Codex Automation Privacy Notice
Last updated: Sun Oct 12, 2025 (America/Los_Angeles)
This notice covers a private automation client that supports personal scripting, testing, and workflow experiments built around Google services.
Purpose
The integration uses Google APIs to explore automation concepts. It is not a commercial product, collects no analytics, and exists solely for private prototyping.
Data scope
- API access is limited to the scopes granted through Google OAuth for the account that authorizes the app.
- Data retrieved through the API is processed only within the associated personal environment and is not redistributed.
- No data is shared with third parties beyond the Google services that already host it.
Storage
- OAuth credentials are stored locally in a restricted configuration directory to support automated testing.
- Temporary automation artifacts stay on the private host and are cleared as experiments conclude.
- No telemetry, tracking, or advertising code is included.
Controls
- Access can be revoked at any time through the Google Account security page (Third-party access).
- Revocation removes the app’s ability to read or write data and invalidates stored credentials.
